How to spoiler text on Discord?

[Karren Brady]

I need to highlight texts on Discord to make them more prominent. How do I Spoiler them?

[James Whitmore]

Highlight the text before sending it, and click the Eye icon that pops up in the floating formatting menu. Once you hit send, the text will appear as a black bar that others have to click to reveal!

Using the menu (Desktop):

• Highlight the text you want to hide.
• Click the eye icon in the pop-up.

To hide text behind a spoiler warning on Discord, simply put two vertical bars on both sides: ||like this||! Text effects like this certainly create a bit of mystery for the person who receives the message.

Hiding spoilers is a lifesaver in group chats!

Just wrap your text with two vertical bars on both sides, like ||hidden text||.

Once sent, Discord covers it with a dark box that other members can click to reveal.

It keeps movie endings and game secrets safe without spoiling the fun.
