How to update Snapchat?

I'm trying to update my Snapchat app so I can get the newest features and bug fixes, but I'm having trouble getting it to actually update. I’ve already tried the standard steps, like visiting the App Store to check for updates. However, I'm running into a few issues and could use some advice.

If your app store is stuck, try restarting your phone first, a quick reboot often fixes the glitch. Also, check your phone's storage, as updates won't download if you are completely out of space. If all else fails, simply delete Snapchat entirely and reinstall it for a fresh, updated version!

  • Restart your phone: A quick reboot is often all it takes to clear temporary system glitches that freeze app store downloads.
  • Check your storage space: Updates will silently fail or stall if your phone is almost out of memory. Try deleting a few large videos or unused apps to make room.
  • Switch your network: Sometimes a bad Wi-Fi signal is the culprit. Briefly switch to mobile data to see if the download jumpstarts.

Typically, updating Snapchat is quite simple.

  • First, go to either the Play store (Android) or the App store (iPhone).
  • Look for Snapchat and click on its App page.
  • When there is a new version, there will be an Update button.
  • Tap it and wait until it is downloaded.
If you use Snapchat, I will say it's worth having updates about it as it keeps getting updated quite frequently.
