How to turn off Restricted Mode on YouTube?

I recently noticed that Restricted Mode is turned on for my YouTube account, and some videos I want to watch aren’t available. How can I turn Restricted Mode off?
 
You can usually turn it off pretty quickly:
  • Open YouTube and sign in
  • Click your profile picture
  • Go to Restricted Mode
  • Switch Restricted Mode to Off, and you’re done.
 
Find the setting under your profile icon on computer, and Settings > General on mobile, and turn it off. This setting applies to each device individually, so you have to do that on all devices where you use YouTube. If it is greyed out, an institution or parental control may be locking it.
 
Hey! If the toggle is already off but videos are still blocked, try these:
  • Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data.
  • Sign out and back into YouTube.
  • Clear YouTube/browser cache and cookies.
  • Check Google Family Link or parental controls.
  • Try another Google account.
