How to record on YouTube TV?

There are a few YouTube videos that I want to record and keep offline. I have a toddler who enjoys these videos, and I want an easier way to access them when travelling.

If you mean YouTube TV, you can’t record a video as a standalone file. Instead, you can save programs to your YouTube TV library:
  • Open YouTube TV and find the show.
  • Select the + (Add to Library) button.
It’ll record future airings automatically, and you can watch eligible recordings later. For offline viewing, YouTube TV supports downloads on supported plans. If you’re talking about regular YouTube videos rather than YouTube TV, the process is different.

If you’re using YouTube TV, the easiest option is to add the program to your Library rather than “recording” it like a normal DVR. It’s comparatively easy as well. Just find the show or movie you want. Click on the “Add to Library” option. YouTube TV will save recordings of available airings. If your plan supports downloads, you can download recordings for offline viewing while travelling. Remember that YouTube TV doesn’t let you save videos as regular MP4 files.
