How to join a Discord server?

Hey, is there a quick and easy way to join a Discord server? I see there are multiple serves but how do I know which one to join, it's a bit confusing for me.

If you have an invite link, simply click it to instantly join the server! You can also click the green plus button on your left sidebar to paste a link manually. To find public communities, just click the compass icon and explore servers that match your interests.
 
The fastest way is simply to click an invite link, which automatically opens Discord and prompts you to join. Alternatively, click the green plus button at the bottom of your server list, select Join a Server, and paste your invite link right there!
