How to delete a YouTube channel?

I created a YouTube channel a few years ago but no longer use it, and I’d like to remove it completely. Can someone explain how to permanently delete a YouTube channel?
 
It’s pretty straightforward. Do this from a computer, since YouTube currently doesn’t provide the permanent delete option on mobile.
  • Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  • Go to Settings, then Channel and finally choose Advanced settings.
  • Scroll down and click Remove YouTube content.
  • Sign in again if required.
  • Choose “I want to permanently delete my content.”
  • Check the confirmation boxes and click Delete my content.
It permanently removes the channel’s videos, comments, playlists, and other channel content.
 
Go to YouTube Studio, select Settings, choose Channel, then Advanced settings. Select Remove YouTube Content, choose I want to permanently delete my content, confirm, and select Delete my content.
 
  • Go to studio.youtube.com, then open Settings, then Channel, then Advanced settings.
  • Scroll down and click "Remove YouTube Channel."
  • Choose the option to permanently delete content, and confirm with your password.
Just so you know, it's irreversible, so grab a backup via Google Takeout first if you want one.
