How to delete a TikTok story?

My younger cousin accidentally uploaded a private video to TikTok Story and is panicking about it. What’s the quickest way to delete the Story?
 
Hey, no need to panic. Here’s a quick fix:
  • Open TikTok and tap the Stories icon to find the Story
  • Tap the three dots on it
  • Select "Delete"
It'll be removed right away.
 
TikTok Stories normally expire on their own after 24 hours anyway, so your cousin’s story is certainly deleted by now. If next time something like this happens and you can’t find the delete button, deactivate the profile for a while. It will give you some time to sort things out.
 
To delete a story right away:
  • Open TikTok → Profile
  • Tap the Story
  • Swipe up on the Story
  • Tap Delete → Delete to confirm.
If “Delete” isn’t visible, tap the Share button on the Story and look for Delete there.
