How to debloat windows 11?

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and want to uninstall some of the unnecessary apps and background features. How to clean it up and keep it running smoothly?

The following is what I do in most cases to be safe:
  • To remove unwanted apps, go to Settings → Apps and uninstall them.
  • Turn off the Startup applications that are not essential.
  • Turn off notifications that aren't necessary.
  • Check the background permissions for individual apps.
  • Use Storage Sense to remove temporary files.
I wouldn't delete system parts, unless you know what they are.

One easy way to do this is to use Windows PowerShell to delete certain preinstalled programs; I would suggest creating a restore point first. Other Windows parts are linked to other parts; hence, debloating aggressively may cause problems after an update.

Truthfully, you likely don't require a special “debloater.” I would delete any applications I didn't use, remove temp files and disable programs that start up unnecessarily. It will take a bit longer, but you'll be able to pick and choose what you want to take off.

Do not use any 3rd party third party Windows update or Microsoft store debloating scripts from random forums, no matter how aggressively they are marketed since they destroy the Windows update or Microsoft stores services permanently.

The best way to remove bundled software is through the manual procedure by going to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and removing the software. Next, open up System > Notifications and disable ‘Get tips and suggestions when using Windows’. Lastly, right click on the taskbar and disable Widgets and Task View. Your machine will start in a significantly shorter time frame, and it will cool down automatically.

Native Windows 11 comes with Aggressive Telemetry, Edge WebView Dependencies, and OEM Baggage.

If you want a complete debloat: Use Winget with PowerShell: Type Winget list to list all packages as an audit, and Winget uninstall
