I’m thinking of applying for Universal Credit, but I already have some income from work. How much Universal Credit will I get if I earn 1000 a month?

It depends on your situation, really. If you earn £1,000 monthly, UC won’t automatically stop. Things like your rent, whether you have children, and your partner’s income can all affect how much you get. Try a benefits calculator for a better estimate.

There’s no fixed UC amount for someone earning £1,000 a month. The standard allowance and any extra support you qualify for are reduced based on your earnings. Check the official GOV.UK benefits calculator to estimate what you could receive.

If you’re single, 25+, no kids and no rent help, probably £0. The standard allowance is £424.90, and UC drops 55p per £1 you earn, so £1,000 takes off £550. If you pay rent or have kids, you’d likely still get something. So try the gov.uk benefits calculator.
