How do I use https //www.epic games.com/activate to activate my Epic Games account or game?

I’m trying to set up my Epic Games account using the epicgames.com/activate (https://epicgames.com/activate) link, but the process is being incredibly frustrating and I want to make sure I don't accidentally link things to the wrong profile. Please help.

Man, it’s been a while since I've done this, but you just visit the Epic Games website and log in to your account. Go to the redemption page, type in your game key, and hit "Redeem" to add the game to your library.

You need to visit https://www.epicgames.com/id/activate, enter the unique code you received with your game/device. It is usually an 8 digit code. As soon as you do that, your account should be linked.
