I’m interested in joining TikTok, but I value my privacy and don’t want my real name connected to my account. Can I create and use a TikTok account anonymously?
 
Yes, you can do it by using a nickname, a separate email, and a private account. But keep in mind that it’s not completely anonymous. TikTok may still collect account data. And people you know still might find your account through account syncing.

It's totally doable:
  • Use a burner email to sign up, skip the Google or Facebook login
  • Pick a random username
  • Say no to contact syncing
  • Use a pic that's not linked to you
  • Turn off "suggest my account" in privacy settings
Keep in mind TikTok itself still knows your IP, but you're anonymous to other users.

I do this all the time when I just want to look up recipe videos without messing up my feed. You can browse TikTok in a private browser tab as a guest without logging in at all.

1. Guest Mode: Open TikTok in your mobile or computer browser without signing in.
2. If logged in: Go to Privacy settings and toggle off Profile view history and Suggest account to others.
