I need to send a few letters through Royal Mail and want to know the current postage costs. Could someone please tell me the price of 1st class and 2nd class stamps?

At the moment, a standard 1st Class Royal Mail stamp costs £1.80, while a 2nd Class stamp is 91p. Those prices are for a standard letter weighing up to 100 g.

Stamp prices tend to change from time to time. Currently it is at £1.80 for 1st class and 91p for 2nd class stamps. Remember, the letter should not be more than 100g. Prices increase for bigger envelopes, starting from £3.30 for 1st and £1.55 for 2nd class.

Large letters are charged differently. I remember mailing letters in both first and second class.
For me, it took 1 day in first class to deliver the mail since it was urgent. Generally, it takes 3-4 days for a second class mail delivery.
Please note that prices are same across the UK - no regional variation.

At present, the cost of a 1st Class is £1.65 and 2nd Class costs £0.85.
The price of a 1st class is £1.65 and a 2nd class is 85p. Large letters cost more (£2.60 and £1.55). Please remember, only Barcode stamps are in use these days, old stamped with no barcode will.get your mails charged.
