How to get paid for scrolling on TikTok?

I’ve seen people online claiming that you can actually earn money just by watching videos on TikTok. Is this legitimate? How can someone get paid for scrolling on TikTok?
 
Yes, it is somewhat legitimate, but only in certain regions and through specific TikTok reward programs. TikTok has offered rewards for watching videos and completing tasks, but these programs aren’t available everywhere.
 
TikTok itself doesn't pay you for watching videos. Claims like that are usually third-party apps or sites promising cash or gift cards. And many turn out to be scams. There was a limited "TikTok Lite Rewards" program in some countries with tiny point-based payouts, but that's the exception, not the norm.
 
TikTok does NOT pay you for just watching or scrolling. There's no legit "get paid to watch videos" feature for regular viewers. I don’t know from which source you heard that, but it probably is a scam or a way to farm your data.
 
TikTok has tested "TikTok Lite" reward programs in some countries where you earn small in-app points/coins for watching videos, which you can redeem for tiny cash amounts or gift cards. But it's not available everywhere.
