How to allow camera access on Snapchat?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to use Snapchat, but I keep getting an error screen telling me I need to Allow Camera Access to take Snaps. The main problem is that when I click the button to go to my phone's settings, the Camera toggle is completely missing from the Snapchat permissions list.

This is a common glitch! When the camera option completely vanishes from the list, it usually means your phone's operating system missed Snapchat's initial permission request, or a global privacy setting is overriding it.

You must go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps. Ensure the Camera toggle is turned on. If it is blocked here, it will never show up for individual apps.

To let Snapchat use your camera, just open your phone's main settings, scroll down to Snapchat, tap Permissions, and switch Camera access to Allow. This is work.

Without camera access, you won't be able to take snaps or use any of those fun filters. Just open your phone's main settings, scroll down to find Snapchat, and select Permissions. Then, allow Camera access, and you're good to go!
