How to turn off profile views on TikTok?

I noticed that TikTok has a profile view history feature, and I’d rather not let other people know when I’ve viewed their profiles. How can I turn off profile views on TikTok?

Access your profile and then click on the menu button. Tap on Settings and privacy, and then select Privacy and Profile views. Uncheck the Profile view history option. Once you uncheck this option, others will not be able to know that you have viewed their profile and vice versa.

Here’s a quick tip. Menu names shift between app updates, so if you don't see "Profile views" under Privacy, update the app or poke around the Privacy section.

From the TikTok profile, click on the footprints icon (or click on three lines menu > Settings and Privacy > Privacy).

Select ‘Profile views’ and turn the switch off. If profile view history has been disabled, others will not be able to see when you visited their profile, and you won't be able to see who has viewed your profile during the last 30 days.
