How To Change Background Color on Instagram Story?

Hi Guys,
I was trying to change the background colour of my Instagram story today. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an option to do it. Does anyone know how to do it?

Hey! So basically there are 2 ways of changing your Instagram story background. The one I feel is the easiest is just going in on to the Instagram app, clicking on the plus sign, selecting story. When the story window opens, you’ll find the Create on the left hand side. Click on it and you’ll see that immediately the background change. Now. You can simply see the color options in the right hand side bottom. But this gives you only limited color options. Another way of doing this is by adding any image to the story, clicking the three dots and choosing draw. Now choose any color and long press on the screen. You’ll see that the color spreads across and fills the entire screen. Now, click done and click on the picture icons and choose the picture option to add any picture or video in it. Hope this helps.

Here is a quick and easy way of changing instagram story backgroud:
  1. Take a photo (or upload one) in your Instagram Story camera.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select the Draw tool (the little pen icon).
  3. Pick a colour you like from the palette at the bottom of your screen.
  4. Tap and hold your finger anywhere on the photo for about two seconds.
That's it, Your entire screen will instantly fill with that solid color. You can now type text or add stickers over it!
 
It's pretty easy. Just open your insta story and add the picture. You'll see that the picture appears full size. Use your fingers to make the image smaller (depending on how small you want). When you make it smaller, you'll see that there is a lot of empty space. Now, check the right-hand side options. You'll find one named DRAW. Click on it, and at the bottom you'll see multiple colour options. Just choose a colour and long press on the image. You'll see that the entire background is changed to that specific colour. That's it.
 
Let me tell you how I change it, since I do it pretty often. If you’ve already added a photo to your Story, tap the three dots at the top, choose Draw, select the colour you want, and then press and hold anywhere on the background. It should fill the background with that colour. If you just want a plain coloured background without a photo, use the Create (Aa) option in Stories and choose the background colour from there.
