How can I find Instagram Story filters?

1. Open your Instagram Story camera.
2. Swipe left through the circular effect icons at the bottom until you reach the very end.
3. Tap the magnifying glass to open the full Effects Gallery.
4. Browse by category, or use the search bar to find a specific filter.

Open your story camera, swipe the circle filters all the way right, and tap the magnifying glass to search effects. You can also tap the filter name on anyone's story to try it!
 
To find Instagram filters in your stories you first need to open the app and swipe left to go to the stories. In Stories, you will find the filter icons at the bottom right. Click on the magnifying glass icon to see all the effects and choose the one you feel fits best to your story.

I wondered for weeks how people could achieve that old-time grainy look to their holiday photos!

There is no need to guess, simply open your Story camera, swipe from corner to corner through these circles of round effects at the bottom to the far right and then tap the ‘Browse Effects' search glass icon.

The full Effect Gallery is unlocked, and features the categories Mood, Selfies, and Sci-Fi. You can use them yourself on your camera and bookmark your favourites.

If you see a cool filter on somebody else's story:

  • Swipe all the way to "Browse Effects"
  • In the filter carousel at the bottom of the camera and tap on it to search for the creators, aesthetics or funny face warps
  • Then tap the filter name at the top right corner of the screen and ‘Save Effect’ to save it forever.
